Sitrep 1 Funeral arrangements.

It is with much sadness that I report that Captain John Wallace RFA(Retd) (membership number 018) crossed the bar on 27th October 2019 aged 88.

On behalf of the RFA Association I offer our sincere condolences to his daughter Liz, her husband,John's grandchildren Simon and Thomas and 3 Great Grandchildren. John's wife Ann predeceased him.

John's funeral will take place at Sunderland Crematorium (HERE for their website and HERE for a Map) on the 12th November at 10:30. Old shipmates and colleagues will be made most welcome and invited to join the family afterwards for refreshments.

The family have requested that is family flowers only but donations, if desired, should be made at the service or directly to the RNLI (HERE for their website and HERE for a map) or the British Heart Foundation (HERE for their website)

The arrangements for the funeral will be made by Alan Duckworth Funeral Directors, (HERE for their website and HERE for a map) and these arrangements, once made will be sitreped on this page as usual.

If you have any remembrances of John please email it to me at captain.pat@rfa-association.org.uk and I will post them on this page. Alternatively you can post to our facebook page "RFA Crosed the Bar". I am also looking for photographs of John for this piece and the RFA Association Gallery and Archive, if you have one please email it to me.
